Infographic video for the Urban Age City Surveys, a research project by LSE Cities. LSE Cities is an international centre at the London School of Economics that carries out research, education and outreach activities in London and abroad. Its mission is to study how people and cities interact in a rapidly urbanising world, focusing on how the design of cities impacts on society, culture, and the environment.
The project I worked on is based on a representative household survey carried out in Sao Paulo, Istanbul and Mumbai in order to get a sense of how satisfied citizens are with their city and how they feel about the urban policies. Urban Age City Surveys is a huge research project containing a wide range of data. I and my research collaborator chose 'safety' as the focal point of the video.
This video is shown in Research Festival Exhibition, a festival that displays research submitted by students and staff at LSE, UCL, SOAS and Cambridge University. It is a week-long public festival exploring the interaction between social sciences and arts.
